Tandoor SS
A stainless steel tandoor, commonly known as a tandoor SS, is a modern adaptation of the traditional clay tandoor, which is a cylindrical clay oven used for cooking in many South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. The stainless steel construction offers durability, ease of maintenance, and quicker heating compared to the traditional clay counterparts. This type of tandoor is widely used in commercial kitchens and restaurants where the distinctive method of tandoori cooking is desired. It features a vertical design with a charcoal or gas heating element at the bottom, allowing for high-temperature cooking. The stainless steel material enhances heat retention and provides a hygienic and long-lasting cooking environment. Tandoor SS is prized for its ability to impart a unique smoky flavor to various dishes, including tandoori bread (naan) and marinated meats.
